Marivan, Iran’s street theater capital: Photos

Marivan, which lies in Iran’s Kordestan Province, is known as the street theater capital of the country.

Marivan is one of the border counties of Kordestan. It lies 125 kilometers to the west of the provincial capital of Sanadaj.

Marivan is home to Zrebar, also known as Zrewar, one of the largest freshwater springs in the world.

It is known as the capital of street theater of Iran, and also famous for its traditional footwear “klash”.
